After spending my years in the Gamekeeping industry and working on a variety of estates, i thought it was time to train to erradicate the mole problem that I was coming across on all too many occasions and seeming to be fighting an ongoing problem.

I started my career through Myerscough Agricultural College where I completed a 3 year degree in Countryside Management and Gamekeeping. Included in this course were modules for both Business Management and trapping which is what I found myself vereing towards as a hobby.

After completing my course I took a Head Keeper position on a local estate where pest control played a major part with my trapping skills going from strength to strength.

After keepering I relocated to Essex working on a private estate consisting of formal gardens, a lake, woods and pasture/grazing land. Alongside the main estate I was also contracted to maintain the gardens of 40 other properties belonging to the estate.

As animals were kept on the estate both pets and cattle along with competition horses there could be no room for rabbits or moles which both prove a threat to animal well being with legs often being broken after breaking through a hill.

As you can imagine gases and poisons were out of the question and therefore I learnt how to use a variety of traps over different land types in order for them to be most effective.

After several years in Essex I am now based in Rochdale and cover a vast area using my skills to help clients erradicate their own mole problems.

After completing a course with the British Traditional Molecatcher's Register I have now broadened my years of experience and knowledge even more.
